History In Service
|
A large covered van constructed specifically for bogie exchange duties. At least two different builds have given rise to two significantly different ends. 23 vans were converted to ALPY in 1975 from SLP, these SLP vans were originally van numbers LX 57 TO 79. With reclassification, DW vans were also recoded to ALPY, specifically those with passenger bogies fitted. This was done after Sept 1979.
