History In Service
|
The Passenger Brake Van was used mainly on passenger trains for the transportation of goods, parcels, mail, luggage and departmental goods. Built from 1905 through to 1918 they survived into the 1960’s. They were originally painted regal red, which faded to brown. A couple of vans received the hawthorn green and cream paint scheme in 1936.
