To simplify the entries of colours in the following list of wagons I have used a standard set of colours to represent the wagons in their various codes and for their various owners. The basic colours are listed below in detail as a reference. Obviously the colours may change on wagons given the usual weathering, rusting and various loading used, but here are the basic colours that I like to use.
