History in Service :      This class is comprised of both original ZF and ZJP and ZJF bogie brake vans. The ZF were built at Newport workshops in 1971. The rest were built in Bendigo from 1972 through 1973. They were all steel construction. The ZJP and ZJF were built in 1961 and had wooden bodies and numbered 35.
