History in Service :       A VR designed van built at Newport, Victoria .In 1965 they were recoded to BLX. In July 1966 BLX 121 to 144 were assigned to palletised cement traffic between Fyansford and Melbourne, and were recoded to BLF and had the words “PALLETISED CEMENT TRAFFIC ONLY BETWEEN FYANSFORD AND MELBOURNE” stenciled above the number board. All but 22 of these vans were recoded to BMX and used in bogie exchange traffic.. Vans used in passenger train working were redesignated BP when the passenger bogies were fitted.The BP wagons were recoded to VBPY with the introduction of 4 letter coding in 1972.
