History in Service :       The ELX wagons were built in two distinct groups, those with smooth sides and recoded from E, and those with the ribbed sides. Some of these wagons were converted to RKLX  to carry 20' BHP coil steel containers by having their sides and bulk heads removed, forming a flat wagon with container brackets.
