History in Service :           VW8500 to VW8514 and the second batch VW8515 to VW8534 were converted to SLC in 1965. After conversion they were also able to be bogie exchanged in the SA system only. The most obvious difference between the two batches is the size of the louvers, the second batch having much smaller louvers. Note: Only 20 of the wagons were converted to SLC
