History in Service :       Three narrow gauge horse boxes were built specifically for traffic in the South East and issued to traffic on 1/11/1938. Issued to service in the South East in November 1938. In October and  November 1942 the interior was altered and they became brake vans at which time they were transferred to Peterborough. In January 1945 they were converted back to horse boxes and reissued to the Southeast and remained in service until the conversion of the Southeast to broad gauge in the 1950’s. In May 1959 they were transferred to Islington and then in January 1960 they were stored at Penfield. In May 1962 they were converted to accident vans numbered 5, 6 and 7 and sent to Peterborough. They remained in service in Gladston and Quorn through to 1976.
