History in Service :       Issued to service without bracing, this was introduced over time to reinforce the wagon. The RB vans fitted with high speed bogies were recoded RSX, the X indicating that they were also suitable for bogie exchange. Vans 9002, 9003, 9004 were fitted with only one central door on each side. A number of vans were fitted with larger doors. Two vans, 9021 and 9032 were painted blue and silver for use with blue bird railcars. Several carried the green and cream passenger colour scheme. Those converted to run in passenger consists with ride control bogies were recoded to RBP. Three vans were used to promote celery (Celery Sue) from mid 1966 to mid 1970 (vans 9002, 9025 and 9034).
