History in Service :       A Horse Box built from May 1935 for broad gauge operations. These were significantly different to the first series of BH Horse Boxes with the celestory roof built from March 1912. In 1940 the handbrake wheel was moved to the guards compartment so that the horse box could also be used as a brake van. Two horse boxes were also converted to Acident Vans in 1962 (4902 & 877 (celestory roofed)).
